About Heights By Side
Heights By Side is a free visual height-comparison tool built and maintained by Intime Growth. Our goal is simple: let anyone see exactly how tall two or more people, characters, animals or objects are — side by side, to scale, in both metric and imperial units — in under a second.
Our mission
Height comparisons are among the most searched-for facts on the internet, yet most answers are buried in text. We believe a picture is worth a thousand centimetres. Heights By Side renders every comparison as a to-scale silhouette chart so the difference is immediately visible, not just a number you have to do mental arithmetic on.
What we cover
Our database spans thousands of entries across multiple categories:
- People — athletes, entertainers, public figures, historical figures, and fictional characters
- Animals — from common pets to the world’s tallest and smallest species
- Objects and structures — everyday items, vehicles, buildings, and landmarks
Every entry is researched individually from reliable public sources and cross-referenced for accuracy before being added to the site. See our Methodology page for the full process.
The comparison tool
The comparison tool on the home page is free, requires no sign-up, and works on any device. You can compare any two entries in our database, or enter a custom height. Results can be embedded on third-party pages using our embed widget.
Who we are
Heights By Side is a project by Intime Growth, a digital publishing and product studio. Our research team manually sources, verifies and maintains height data according to the standards described in our Methodology and Editorial Standards pages.
We have no affiliation with the individuals, organisations or franchises whose heights appear on the site. Heights are factual measurements reported for informational purposes only.
